Brake Disc and Pad choosing

I'm going to change brake discs and pads of my 2001 Astra Classic Saloon 44kw, i don't know the installed ones brand my mechanic changed years ago but i don't like it they vibrates and shows bad performance,
First of all the ones im using are solid type not air ventilated, should i go with air ventilated or just go with solid again?

And second, i'm thinking going with TRW discs and pads what do you think is this a good brand i don't have any experience with this brand, all i can find are Valeo,TRW,Magneti Marelli,Ferodo,Delphi

Last of all does the size of disc matters, where can i find the size specsheet on net?

You'd need to replace like for like on the discs. You can't upgrade to vented discs without also changing the pad carriers and/or calipers. TRW are a great brand, one of the best.

Best thing to do is have a look through the wheels or if need be, take a wheel off and see what discs you have, both solid/vented and to measure the size of them.
