Hi mate thanks, no I'm using a compressor with with a gravity spray gone, that way I can use some decent 2k paint, be harder wearing and more rust resistant..... hopefully

Time for a long over due update :)

Having spent days sorting out the dodgy sealer in the bay, I opted to re seal it all with some 2k 3M sealer, real strange stuff to use, but gave me a A1 result!

Next up was to trail fit a Frontera intercooler, one problem I had was that my car has aircon, (which has never worked :() so I had to cut out the x member with the air con fan, and replace it with a standard one. i want my cooler to be 100% hidden, so set about measuring, cutting and drilling holes, took me ages. This is how I've mounted it, no mods at all to the bumper, proper sleaper style :)

With that sorted, next was to relocate the rad, I went for a GM 1.7 TD rad as I've seen a few on here that look like they fit well. So I had to move the rad into the middle of the bay, and move it forward to allow for flush fit with the front panel. Abouts a hours fiddling around and heres the result

With the rad and intercooler mocked up, I could strip it back down and repaint the bay body colour. With a few mores hours preping, I painted it using 2k paint, and here she is

Really happy with the finish, now things should pick up pace with the build. Comments welcome. Another update should follow today!

Right, its update time again :)

Went up the unit today after work, decided it was about time I got some more done lol.

Sorry for not many pics, all Ive been doing is cleaning and painting, boaring as f##k! :( loads will follow when fitting up the engine

So I painted and fitted the brake servo, complete with Cavalier Turbo master cylinder, then cleaned and refitted the steering rack, along with its piping. Next up was to scrape all the underseal off the subframe, clean and then paint it. Hours later had the subframe back on, complete with new rear mount. Heres how the bay stands now, ready to recieve the engine tomorow!

Then it was time for me to fit my nice new bottom arms, complete with polly bushes

All I need to do now is drop the motor in, progress should speed up now, with lots more pics to follow.... enjoy.
